About Our Company
Remick Native Landscapes works to beautify your home while creating resilient and environmentally beneficial landscapes. We can see the impacts of climate change and biodiversity loss before our eyes, and we can do something about it. It is time for landscaping to evolve, and you can be a part of that revolution.
Our practices aim to restore biodiversity and create and improve pollinator wildlife habitats, ultimately creating a livable planet for all people. We never use dangerous synthetic chemical agents to manage landscapes. We use hand tools and battery-powered equipment when possible, and our designs and management practices aim to sequester carbon in the soil and reduce the need for water. The materials we use are local or reclaimed. Everything we do aims to reinforce our positive impacts on the environment and your home life.
Global environmental problems can seem huge and overwhelming, but each of us has the ability to make a difference. Luckily, there are steps we can take. We have the knowledge and the power to restore balance to our ecosystems and provide a bountiful existence for all people and living things. The first step we can take starts with our own home.

Why Do We Place Importance on Native Plants?
Native plants have evolved for millennia in our local ecosystem. They acclimate to our soil and weather and have developed intricate and specialized relationships with insect life. They offer significant advantages over non-native plant stock unsuited to the region.
The U.N. recently reported on biodiversity loss shows that our web of life collapses around us, mainly due to the loss of insect life. This results from poor land use choices, including having grassy lawns and using non-native plants. We can help reverse this loss by using plants and practices that restore life to our landscapes and bring nature home.

Meet Hayden Remick
I founded Remick Native Landscapes after earning a Bachelor’s Degree at Goucher College (2013) and a Master’s of Science in sustainable design at Philadelphia University (2020).
After years of work managing sustainable garden programs for commercial and charitable institutions in the region, I established my own small business to help homeowners and others create beauty in home landscapes in a way that protects the families who live within them. I also want to spread the joy I have found working with native plants and ecosystem restoration. I am committed to building and helping others enjoy a sustainable world.
