Landscape Design, Installation, Maintenance

We begin with a phone consultation to assess your project scope and needs and then schedule an initial site visit at no cost. We can walk the property during this site visit and look at site conditions. We will discuss your wishes and needs for the property and explore ideas and possibilities. Depending on the size of your project, we may be able to proceed with work with a basic proposal and estimate. For more significant projects/properties, it will be essential to begin with a full-scale property site inventory and design.

Every landscape project is specifically tailored to each site, along with the hopes and dreams of the homeowners and those who spend time in these gardens. Once we identify your priorities, we design and install landscapes that are perfectly tailored for your unique situation and site conditions. Our goal is to create a landscape you love that functions with low maintenance and maximum environmental benefits.

Why Do We Place Importance on Native Plants?

Native plants have evolved for millennia in our local ecosystem. They acclimate to our soil and weather and have developed intricate and specialized relationships with insect life. They offer significant advantages over non-native plant stock unsuited to the region.

The U.N. recently reported on biodiversity loss shows that our web of life collapses around us, mainly due to the loss of insect life. This results from poor land use choices, including having grassy lawns and using non-native plants. We can help reverse this loss by using plants and practices that restore life to our landscapes and bring nature home.

Meadows

A meadow is a perfect way to create a low-maintenance, functional, beautiful, and beneficial replacement for an area of lawn. It can be done on various scales, from a small plot to a large multi-acre field. After two seasons of maintenance and management, the requirements for management drop off to one or two visits per season.

Rain Gardens & Green Stormwater Management

Does your property have spots that flood? Having trouble growing grass in certain shady spots or funky sections of your yard? A rain garden is a perfect way to make the most impact in a wet area.

Rather than fighting against nature and forcing plants into places they don’t belong, we can put things in those spots that will flourish, beautifying your property and creating beneficial wildlife habitats.

Pollinator Gardens

Your ordinary flower bed can be the perfect place to create a pollinator oasis. The key is to select the right native plants for the right conditions—and we can help. Help save the bees while creating a gorgeous garden for all seasons.

Organic Veggie Gardening Expertise

With over ten years of organic food growing experience, we can help you create and maintain a nutritious and delicious vegetable garden for your family. Access to fresh organic produce can inform your family’s and neighborhood’s diets. There is no better way to engage young people in the food system and diet choices.

You can also grow varieties of food that you would never see in a grocery store—tremendous tomatoes, a mélange of melons, a plethora of peppers, and more!
